Southern Glass Services removed and replaced an old and tired shopfront for a client in Southampton city centre. The shopfront previously housed an ATM machine, which was no longer required and so the client wanted to make the most of the space they had available. After an initial survey and discussion with the client we suggested an oversized display window more than 4.5m wide. This will help the shop to not only draw customers in but also allows for lots of natural light into the building.
The old shopfront was safely disassembled, removed and disposed of for the client. The new shopfront includes a high security locking door with a hydraulic self-closing mechanism. The glazing is all laminated safety glass for superior strength and durability.
