Southern Glass Services recently installed a double steel door set as part of a renovation project for a large block of flats in the Southampton area. The client was having issues with vandalism and people trying to force the previous doors open. After our initial survey we identified some potential weak points in the door, being the hinges and the door closer. We proposed housing the door closer within the outer framework as this would prevent people from being able to tamper with it. We also suggested upgrading the door material to steel as this would provide superior durability and resistance against impacts. The previous door also utilised a code lock for entry which we included in our new design. The existing door was removed and replaced with our steel door set within a day and the code lock was set to match the previous combination.
