Southern Glass Services removed and replaced a damaged skylight in a residential application. As the installation was on the roof of the property, a bespoke scaffold had to be constructed to allow for safe access to the window. Extra care was taken in order to avoid any damage to the customers driveway, exterior of the house and internal décor. Due to the size and weight of the skylight we elected to use a crane with a specific suction attachment to make it easier to safely manoeuvre the window into place.
The replacement skylight features solar control, low maintenance glass. This will enable plenty of natural sunlight into the property without obstructing the users. As for the frame, we matched the colour of the existing window. This features a dual colour appearance, anthracite grey external with a white internal finish.
